March 2ND, 2012 - Tour Recap & Future
Hello all. It’s been a good while since we’ve written anything up, and we’ve had some cool opportunities come our way lately that we’d like to share with you. This is our attempt at sharing.
First of all, we got the chance about a month back to go on a ten day tour with our friends Wolves At The Gate and The Orphan, The Poet. We traveled from Michigan to Georgia and back to Ohio, and we actually played ten shows in ten days. We had the time of our lives! We’ve never done a tour of this scale before, and we loved it. We were blessed in all ways on this trip, and we can’t wait to get out for our next set of dates. A special thanks goes out to both the bands, and to Chad Weirick for all the hard work that was put in to making the tour happen.
Speaking of Chad, we’d also like to mention that we are now a part of Red Lotus Management. This management company is run by Chad (making him our manager), and it’s a partnership that we’re very excited about. Chad is a very hard worker, and we feel confident that he will help us reach goals that would be very difficult to achieve on our own. We’re grateful that he wanted to work with us, and we’re stoked about where things are going. We’re also very excited about being in the likes of Wolves At The Gate, The Orphan, The Poet, This Love, and Belle Histoire. If you haven’t yet checked out those bands, look them up and give them a listen.
Since we’ve returned from tour, we’re going through a bit of an inward phase. We’re playing very, very few shows over the next couple of months, and we’re focusing mainly on getting things together for our next record. One of the things we’re working on while we’re staying at home is some acoustic videos in conjunction with our friend Drew Oxley and Parative Clothing. We’re going to be knocking them out soon. We’ll be doing them in our house, and the videos will be live sound as well as live video. We’re stoked.
To wrap this all up, we’ve got a lot coming that we’re excited about. Perhaps the most exciting news we have is related to doing a new record. For now, we’d just like to say that we’ve made significant progress on the whole record process. We’ve got some ballin news to share with you soon about this. Stay in touch.

October 22nd, 2011 - Autumn
Fall is a season of change. Warm days give way to cooler evenings, a crisp wind begins to blow, and, of course, the trees begin to shed their leaves. Lately, all of us have been very much enjoying these autumn changes. We hope you enjoy them as well, and embrace the seasons we've been blessed to experience.
As far as seasons go, we as a band are changing seasons, too. This summer, we were able to travel, meet new friends, play in new markets, and have a ton of fun. We had a great couple of months, and we're thankful. Now that summer is over, we're changing gears. We're staying at home. We're working as much as we can. We're saving as much as we can. And, we're writing new jams. Lots of them.
We think it's time to do another album, and we're beginning to work through the early stages of that process. We're so stoked about this! Really, it feels great to get back in the flow of writing. We're stretching ourselves, and we're thinking in new ways. In all, we're just trying to write better songs. More cohesive songs. If you've come to a show lately, you may have heard a few new tunes. If you enjoyed them, don't check out! There are more coming.
To help accommodate our change in focus, we'll be playing a few less shows than we normally do. We want to keep our primary energy going towards getting a new record together. However, we have played a few shows lately that we want to thank you all for. We recently shared an evening with All Get Out and a few other cool bands at Musica in Akron. This show was absolutely phenomenal, and we have you to thank for it. Musica is a special place to us, and we're so grateful to everyone who came out. It was a night full in energy and joy. We hope the show was as special to you as it was to us. Also, we recently played in Columbus with our friends in New Shoes, Cabanatuan, and The Orphan, The Poet. It's always special to get together with good friends and make music. Thanks for putting it all together, Jeremy.
As far as the next couple of months are concerned, we want to shake things up a bit. Over the summer, we got comewindband.com up and running. We're really proud of how it came together, and we want to start using it more and more. Primarily, we want fill it with posts about how the new album is coming along. This is where you come in. We have some ideas for posts, but we also want to know what kinds of things you'd like to see from us. If you have an idea for a post, here's what we're asking from you. Go over to the 'Contact' tab, and send us a message detailing what kind(s) of media you'd like to see from us throughout the album-making process. We have plenty of new things to share with you – we'd just like some input from you, too.
Keep your ears to the ground. Thanks for reading.

August 18th, 2011 - Tour & Future.
Hello everyone! We just returned home from our tour with The Great Transparency. For about the past week and a half, we've been driving around and playing shows with those dudes. We played in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina. If you came out to a show, thank you. If you booked us for a show, thank you. And if you are reading this blog, thank you. This is only the second tour like this that we've ever done, and it went really well. We were totally blessed to be a part of it. So, finally, a very special thanks goes to The Great Transparency for asking us along. We really appreciate them showing us the ropes a bit, and we had a fantastic time getting to know them better. Thanks dudes.
Now that we're home, we're going to be shifting our focus in some ways. If you've come to a show recently, you may have noticed that we've been playing some new songs. We are very excited about the new material we've written, and we're going to be putting more and more time into writing in the upcoming months. Keep your eyes peeled for more news regarding new music. To give you a taste of some of what's to come, check out this acoustic song here.
The last bit of news we have is something that we've been wanting to share for quite some time now. For a while, we have been dropping lines about doing a music video. Well, we have finally done a live music video, and it is ready to go! Our good friend Jeffrey Riley did this video, and we couldn't be more proud of it. He did an absolutely phenomenal job. However, we need your help before we put this up. We need to get to 3000 likes on facebook before we put the video up. Thanks so much to each of you who have tagged us in posts and been spreading the word about Come Wind for the last week or so since we started this campaign. At this point, we're less than 100 likes away! Thanks so much for your help! We're almost there, so let's keep pushing forward to 3000 so we can get this video up! To give you an idea of what this video will be like, check out this short teaser Jeff did for our song "Dry Bones."
Also, tanks are here. Come to a show soon, or check out our online store to grab one. Here is our online store: comewind.bigcartel.com/
Thank you all. We couldn't do any of this without you.
